The Virgil Chino Shorts are your everyday essential for Summer.
We've taken our best-selling chino trousers and retained the same fabric weight and details, including our signature button on the turnup.
The cut and fit follow the same silhouette as the trousers and the inseam measures 22cm with a slight turn up.
We are using a medium weight cotton twill and adding brass hardware, practical details, and a button tab turn up with angled pockets, pocket loop, and heavier cotton than traditional chino shorts.
My Summer look just got sharper
The Origins of the Chino trouser - First created for the British Military in 1840 to combat the humid conditions whilst fighting in India, these staple pieces have seen a resurgence in nearly every decade of fashion. The chino was always on our list of essentials for &SONS but we had to create something unique. Inspired by style icons such as Daniel Craig, James Dean and of course, the legend himself, Mr Steve McQueen, who wore them in films like The Great Escape, but with the &SONS twist. Smaller pockets usually found on the inside of the front pocket, were introduced back in the 1800’s to hold watches. Over time, the pocket was reduced in size and used to carry anything from coins and ticket stubs to pieces of gold.
Style Tip: For the ultimate laid back summer look, introduce a Cuban collar shirt and white vest to finish off the outfit. If you're heading out somewhere a little more formal, these shorts look great with our Sunday Shirts.
