A 1969 image. A rare moment. An icon off-duty.
INTRODUCING
McQueen Indiana Shirt White
A nod to a rare 1969 image of Steve McQueen, captured by legendary photographer Milton H. Greene during the Baja 1000 era, where McQueen’s off-track style bridged workwear grit with 70s cool. That effortless look became the starting point for the McQueen Indiana Shirt - reimagined for today in crisp organic cotton poplin with a vintage rotary print.
Cut in a regular fit with a relaxed camp collar, it’s built for comfort and longevity. Flat-fell seams with chain stitching add durability, while the double-layered back yoke, back pleats, and side-seam vents allow easy movement. Corozo buttons lend a natural touch, and recycled polyester labels bring a sustainable edge. A garment wash gives it a worn-in softness from the first wear.

Origins
In 1969, legendary fashion photographer Milton H. Greene, known for his iconic portraits of Marilyn Monroe and other Hollywood greats, turned his lens to Steve McQueen during the Baja 1000 desert race in Baja California.
Among the rugged, dust-filled shots of McQueen’s off-road exploits, Greene captured a rare, quiet moment: McQueen standing inside his Solar Productions office, surrounded by a collage of racing photos and Le Mans memorabilia - a personal archive of speed, soul, and cinema.
Taken during the pre-release period of Le Mans, while McQueen was deep in production and pushing for racing realism on screen, the photo revealed more than just his passion - it exposed a unique sense of off-duty style. Amongst the chaos, he wore a shirt that bridged the grit of workwear with 70s cool - relaxed, refined, and unbothered.
The McQueen Indiana Shirt draws directly from that rare image - reinterpreted through a modern lens, in crisp organic cotton poplin and a rotary-style print that captures the attitude of a man who never stopped moving, even at rest.
