Origins Story — Denim & the Yellow Sweat Connection

Steve McQueen lived in a capsule wardrobe. He never went far without his blue jeans—straight-cut, battle-tested, always reliable.  He layered them with everything—sweaters, tees, jackets—his approach honest and utilitarian. 

These jeans trace back to the moment he wore that now-iconic faded-sun-yellow sweatshirt on his Triumph Desert Sled. He paired it with light-washed straight-leg denim—worn-in, no frills, just durable and true. This image became the blueprint: Bonner Jean selects that same straight-leg silhouette, mid-rise cut, and lived-in lighter wash. Denim made to move and age with you, just like Steve wore it on that day.
